Pay is going to become an issue in 2015 and the drive is coming not from the left but from the right!

George Osborne has said he “wants to see an above-inflation increase in the minimum wage”.  David Cameron is also on record as saying that “I want to see companies’ success passed through in terms of wage increases”. Boris Johnson, among others, is backing the “Living Wage”. Add to this the disquiet about high levels of executive pay and it is easy to see why there is pressure on employers “to come up with evidence to support pay decisions and demonstrate how they [are] calculated” Luke Hildyard, head of research at think-tank the High Pay Centre.
